How to solve 'Unable to connect to sync agent' in Windows?

In very rare cases, Windows may have difficulties opening the Sync Tool. Since Windows prioritizes Windows services, it can affect how programs are opened. This article will help you to make sure that the Sync Tool is initiated resp. synchronized automatically and correctly.

What is “Delayed start”?

Windows services usually start immediately when the computer starts. On some computers, it may be necessary to delay the load time of a particular Windows service so that the computer starts properly. In other cases, like this one, it is a way to ensure that a particular service starts.

With the following steps you can solve this problem on Windows 7, 8 or 10

  1. Right-click with your mouse on the task bar to get to the task manager.
  2. In the task manager, choose the tab “Services” and click on “Open services” at the right edge of the window.
  3. Search for the leitzcloud Sync Tool or another name, if you named it differently.
  4. If you have to restart it, right-click the leitzloud service and select “Restart”.
  5. To make sure the leitzcloud synchronization is always starting, right-click on the leitzcloud servicd and select “Properties”.
  6. Via “Start-up type” you can select “Automatic (delayed start)” and then click on “OK”. Your Sync Tool is now started correctly.

Please note: This configuration slows down the start of the Sync Tool, but prevents blocking by other apps, such as anti-virus programs
